Never any sign experience is needed at Oh Happy Sign. All classes are easy to learn with a new exciting topic each week plus everyday signs to help you at home and outdoors.

Oh Happy Babies
Our dedicated baby class, Oh Happy Babies, features a very special baby sign programme unique to Oh Happy Sign including sensory play - helping baby reach their milestones! We teach your baby their first signs to be able to communicate their needs before speech. Classes are relaxing yet fun for you both. We have a comfortable mat for each baby to enjoy classes, and classes are small for a personal touch. Baby change facilities are onsite, and if baby needs a feed in class you are welcome to do this at anytime. Movers and crawlers are welcome in class up to age 14 months.
Our Oh Happy Babies classes are suitable for your baby aged from 6 weeks old - 14 months.
Oh Happy Minis
Oh Happy Minis classes are perfect for your toddler or baby on the move! Oh Happy Minis classes help build your little one's language skills to give them the best head start before they start school! We have lots of fun with communication activities, sounds, music, play, props and early phonics building on their first words and the world around them. Classes are specially designed to help with listening, understanding and social skills. Toddler sign helps your little one with talking and builds their confidence.
Our Oh Happy Minis classes are for babies crawling - 4 years.
Welcome! I'm Charlotte!
With 12 years British Sign Language and Makaton experience, Oh Happy Sign’s Group Teacher, Charlotte, is qualified in British Sign Language and has a degree in English Language and Linguistics. Charlotte is passionate about teaching sign with speech and fun activities to encourage babies to babble to sparking the imaginations of toddlers when learning to talk.
Oh Happy Sign is family run and proud to be in Darwen, Lancashire. Classes are on Mondays in Darwen and Saturdays in Accrington.
Charlotte has 2 wonderful children: age 6 & 4 years old - their development and communication have blossomed with sign! "I taught both my boys to sign from 6 weeks old and their abilities to communicate so young is truly wonderful, and so I believe that all families should experience the same - and so Oh Happy Sign was born!"
Charlotte believes signing is for everyone! Children love to express themselves through sign what ever their ability or development stage.
Groups are always welcoming and relaxed, and absolutely no sign experience is required. Baby and toddler sign is easy to learn and lots of fun. Your time together is precious - come along and create special memories together at Oh Happy Sign!
